"Every time I ended up at an exciting, progressive event, I’m saddened by the inevitable group of what I like to call red fascists outside. I’m loathe to mention specific groups, lest this become linkbait, but I’m looking at you, SWP, and all the 9/11 deniers and other conspiracy nuts that communism attracted to the left."

What do you mean 9-11 deniers ?
Do you mean people who think that it seems odd that the official story is full of holes ? People who think that it is odd that "building 7" collapsed in on itself at freefal speed despite not being hit by a plane ?

I tell you what FELIX - why don't you FUCK OFF mate ?

Great post,

It seems to me there are too main issues at play, first human nature will always lead to most people doing what they think is "right". That "right" can be defined in many ways, for some it's personal improvement and given the system we live in that can be foremost popularity (i.e. celebrity) and/or monetary gain. We also have a varying concept of doing "good" and for some that includes the self. Thus we have the situation where some sections of society will want to become popular and/or rich and see this as a moral "right" (and right) regardless of the wider impact.

Secondly, and this is where the crux of your post comes into play, we let them. As many of us also have our personal goals and work hard and like shiney things to buy we play along with the system (maybe) in the hope of rewards for hard work and doing what we do (which may or may not be "righteous").

It's only when the crash of last year or when the MPs expenses stuff happens we get to evaluate how that deal is working out for us, and see quite clearly the rules don't really favor the work hard and do what you think is right method when others get rewarded for what we all generally agree was wrong.

As a teacher once said to me "you can do whatever you want in this life, but know there are certain consequences to those actions" - that's the point, where are the consequences for certain sectors of society? It seems as though do good or bad and you get rewarded regardless, and that's not what I signed up for.
